When you pull into the South Seas, you’re greeted by towering palm trees surrounding the building. You’ll feel as if you’re about to enter a tropical oasis. This 1,100 square foot, 3rd floor condo sleeps six, with one king bed, two twins, one sleeper sofa and two bathrooms.

Take a walk along the path circling Clam Bay and enjoy the fragrant wind and the reflection of palm trees off the still surface of the water. Another path winds through the manicured gardens of grass and thick hedges, past the tennis courts and the tiki hut filled with gas grills you can use to enjoy a barbeque lunch in a shaded picnic area. The cluster of palm trees up ahead encloses the spacious heated pool, lined with sun loungers.

The interior of the unit takes its inspiration from the beach next door. A floor of marble-hued tile is brightened by natural light through floor-to-ceiling windows. Wall openings connect the kitchen and living room, giving the unit a wide-open feel. Style is in the details, and this is unit is filled with decorative touches like an anchor paperweight, palm trees on the clock face and colorful sketches of crabs, sea horses and an octopus.

The seaside décor is complemented by eye-pleasing modern furniture that’s as comfortable as it is stylish. The gourmet kitchen comes with all the appliances and cookware you need to serve everything from a family dinner to a tray of cocktails to bring out to the balcony.

Glass doorwalls open up to the balcony from both the living room and the master bedroom. Sun loungers and a table and chairs make the balcony the ideal place to take in the palm tree-framed view of Clam Bay and the lush gardens spreading out in front of you.

The unit is filled with comfort-enhancing features like air conditioning, heating and a washer and dryer. For your entertainment, you’ve got internet, cable, a big screen TV, and beach essentials like an umbrella, beach chairs and a cooler for that short walk to the emerald waters of Tigertail Beach.

The rental was very clean and the location was very good. This was our second vacation on Marco and the second in the South Seas area. The only issues we had were that the shelving in both bathroom closets were absolutely ready to fall away from the wall! I was afraid to hang anything on the wire shelves. We notified management, someone came over to look at them and take measurements but we never heard from them again. The wire shelves MUST be repaired.
The kitchen faucet needs adjusted because it is difficult to move from right to left. There is a large tear on the screen on the porch. Easy to fix minor stuff really.

This time we decided to stay in South Seas East instead of one of the Towers. It was a great choice as we were right beside the Tennis Courts (important to us) and a minute and a half walk to the pool. The unit was very clean and recently updated with comfortable beds and furniture. As this is a gated community I highly recommend paying the extra ten dollars for the coded gate pass as it will save a ton of time when re-entering the complex! I hardily recommend this unit to anyone tired of dealing with the tower elevators and long walk from the tower parking garage.

Our stay on Marco Island could not have been any more pleasant. The agency who rented to us was very responsive and very courteous. They helped our transition from one unit to another very easy. When we called them with a concern about the smoke detector, maintenance was sent immediately.
The unit was very clean, comfortable and overlooked a lovely canal and had easy access to Tiger Tail Beach. If I had to make any suggestions at all regarding this unit, I would suggest that the guest room had a full size bed along with the crib. Having a single twin bed and a crib only made it difficult to have overnight guests.
