Essex 203 South

We had a really nice stay. There was some problem with the fridge but they gave us a solution right away! Everything was really good!

Our 3rd time in a row staying in this unit. We stay here due to its location to the beach and food options. The location of the property is amazing. As explained in prior reviews, the unit in general is old, stale. The couch and chair are worn out, the bed is not comfortable anymore, and the TV is old. Some simple upgrades like furniture (bed, couch, chair), carpet and a smart TV bigger than the 20in they have are modest upgrades. The unit price continues to go up every year, but nothing is being put back in the unit, no updates. I guess the other side of that coin is we keep coming back, basically because of location. Last year the response was the owners were going to update the unit, but there were new towels and knives and that's it. I wish they'd invest in the unit a bit seeing that the rates continue to rise, but we keep coming. Looking at other options next year, overall we enjoyed our stay.

The best part of this unit is the location. It needs updating especially in the bathrooms and kitchen.They do supply beach chairs, umbrellas and a wagon for the walk to south beach.

We prefer to stay on Marco Island in this area of S Collier. Short walk to beach access, easy walk to Marco Walk “mall” where there is multiple restaurants, boutique shopping & movie. This Essex unit is a little dated compared to others BUT is extremely clean and comfortable. The unit is well stocked with all linens, kitchen tools/accessories and beach items. Only recommendation to the owner is update the master bed mattress and the only reason for 4 out of 5 rating. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, would definitely return to this unit, and recommend to others.

Very quiet location near the beach with an easy 7 minute walk to the sand or 10 minutes to some very nice restaurants. We enjoy the Tommy Bahama beach chairs provided which allow us to easily back pack our stuff to the beach. Very nice pool.

This was our 2nd year staying in 203S at the Essex. The location has to be one of the best non-beach front locations in Marco. For location, it's absolutely phenomenal. The unit is in desperate need of a modern upgrade. From the living room furniture to the beds, and the TV's are very dated. The carpet might need an upgrade in the next few years. Kitchen supplies are adequate. The pool was very enjoyable as well if you can tolerate the scowls from the retired folks when the kids arrive. Overall, great stay mostly due to location. Hopefully the unit can get some upgrades as we left the same review last year.

Condo is very nice for an older unit. 8 to 10 minutes easy pretty walk to the beach. Unit general condition very good for the cost. Good location for us, easy drive or walk to restaurants and grocery. We felt at home for the week! Thank you for a nice week! Gary and Lisa

Excellent! Just a few small problems: 1.one day the water was turned off and we were not notified in advance - good thing we weren't in the shower! (learned later there was a note in the elevator but we never used elevator, so never saw it).2. Screen door was broken. 3. Light bulb burned out in the hallway by the wahser/dryer

As always, we thoroughly enjoyed our four weeks on Marco Island. This was our first stay at Essex. We are already signed up for five weeks next year in the same unit. Everything was just fine except that the sheets and towels should be of better quality.

VERY dirty - Mold on shower curtain, Blood on towels, Blood on mattress. Old dirty pots and pans. Very old Goodwill quality furniture. Fingerprints everywhere. It MIGHT have been nice 20 years ago...

The Essex itself is nice location, quiet , short walk to the beach.
Our unit should be updated for the amount of money we paid. Ice maker didn’t work, problems with garbage disposal... Second bedroom ok but master bedding, etc was too old, to used! Mattress cover kept slipping, old pillows!

Our vacation condo was in a great, quiet location but walking distance to the beach. The condo was clean and well stocked with the normal necessities for a comfortable stay. We enjoyed the lanai and the rooms were all a nice size. Especially liked the walk in closet in the master bedroom. Loved the water pressure in the shower. The unit included a full washer/dryer which was a plus in addition to the full kitchen appliances including a dishwasher, microwave oven, toaster, coffee maker and toaster oven. We took full advantage of the nice beach chairs, bags and towels. Will stay at this condo again and recommend to family and friends. This unit met all our needs.

Being a second time renter, I was pleased yet again with all of the accommodations. It’s almost like it’s your own home but in the most beautiful place in the world. I love renting from MIVP because everything is available for you. You really don’t have to bring much with you when packing. Essex 203 South is a 5 minute walk to the beach. It makes it so easy. We loved going to Sunset bar for dinner across the street. Of course, we can’t wait to come back next year!

The unit is a nice size for a family or a couple. The kitchen had the necessities also. I agree with previous posts that the decor is dated but clean, linens and towels a little worn. There isn't a remote for the TV in twin bedroom. The week we were there with 3 kids under 5 they were redoing the parking lot so we were told to park across and down the street after the mgr.? threatened to tow our cars!! The public access fot the beach is near and the pool is clean too!

perfect location near south beach and walking distance to shops, restaurants... so overall an enjoyable experience!
a few suggestions - could upgrade refrigerator, one plastic drawer was cracked. closet light in master bedroom didn't work. porch rug could be replaced.
storage closet by parking needs to be cleaned up.

Red lamp shades a bit outdated. there were 2 new beach chairs in closet but not for us to use.
Sheets may have been new, but bottom sheet torn in master bedroom.
I hate to complain because I love Marco! - but truth be told this unit could use some facelifts.

Our stay was wonderful. The condo was very clean and all of the amenities we needed were available. One of the nicest places we have stayed.

This property was clean and in a great location Decor needs updating but most importantly linens sheets, and bedspreads were extremely worn and old. Towels were threadbare. Property could be super nice if these were updated.

A friend and I stayed in this condo the week of July 22, 2019. It was close to the public beach access which was nice. Across the street is the Sunset Grill which we visited a few times. Nice view and food was decent. The condo's pool was enjoyable. Overall, a comfortable stay. I do believe the owner could invest in some new beach towels. A nice place.

Well kept condo. Great for family. Plenty of space to move around. Clean. Only suggestion would be better beach cart / chairs / umbrella/ cooler. We spent a lot of time at the beach and the equipment provided is something important to us. A good cart is key since it is about a 10 minute walk to the beach. Chairs are older. Cooler too big. We bought a smaller one and left for next guests.

Near-perfect location - easy walk to both beach and restaurants. Comfortable condo. Rental arrangements were easy, and Marco Properties reached out via e-mail during our stay so that if we had any questions or issues, we had someone who could easily be contacted. Hope to stay there again.

Had an amazing time in Marco Island. Our condo at The Essex was perfect and very comfortable. This was our first time as a family renting a condo for vacation and couldn’t have been happier. The condo was clean and it was a short walk to the beach. We would definitely recommend this condo to others. Thanks for the memories.

Stayed there the week of July 4th . Very nice place !! Only drawback is it is a little walk to the public beach access, The management properties were very kind and helpful !!

Our trip was amazing! The Essex 203 is beautiful, clean and complete with anything you need to relax! We enjoyed the favorite local restaurants and wonderful Marco Island hospitality.

My family and I enjoyed our stay at the Essex. The location was great, close to restaurants, shopping and the beach. The amenities at the property were great and we are looking to a return visit.

I rented this for my nephew and family as our condo was not large enough to accommodate everyone. It was so close to everything - they could go to South Beach, local shopping, 7-11. They have tennis courts and a nice swimming pool. I would definitely rent this unit again.

We had a fantastic 2 weeks at the condo and in Marco Island. The condo was very clean, neat, and comfortable and had all the amenities we needed. We loved the easy walk to the beach, quick drive to Publix, the pool and covered parking. We definitely recommend the condo and look forward to returning next year.

We just returned from our wonderful vacation on Marco Island. Our condo was great! It was clean and spatious. The laundry was a great plus. Not all places on Marco have a private laundry room. The location was great as well, just a short walk to the beach. The storage room was stacked with everything a family would need for the beach and more. We truly loved it. We would rent the same condo in the future. The owner is amazing and willing ensure we had a great stay. Thank you Chris.

The property was very clean. It was missing some basics that would have made our stay more comfortable. We had to go out and buy sponges, dish soap, laundry detergent. There was no dustpan. The location was ok. Not far from the beach. However, the balcony faced the road and the noise from cars made it unpleasant to use.
