We had a wonderful experience at the Boater's Paradise!
Upon our early arrival we walked into a spotless and roomy house. The house was bigger than expected and both family rooms had large walls of windows that opened completely. This was my best feature and i loved how it brought the fun from the pool into the house and kitchen! We highly recommend this place and would stay here again!


What is a meaningful review if you don't mention the good with the bad ..

We had 1 or 2 issues that were taken care of within hours of mentioning them to the rental place... they were on top of their game!

If I must note a few things that could be improved on - but really did not effect the enjoyment of the stay - they would be ...1) Some lights out and needed replacement which I found in the closet of the laundry room. 2) Many of the light switches are not labeled or do not control anything... 3) pool was warm and we would have liked to turn it down a little but didn't know how.4) better grill utensils would be nice 5)some baking sheets would be nice too!

We really had a wonderful time... beds were very comfortable, quality sheets and pillows. Lots of room for games, double refrigerators for drinks, nice fans and patio furniture too !

Such a nice home with a great location for a peaceful stay. The house could use some updating. Nothing major - just some painting and a deep cleaning.

The whole house needs an improvement, the kitchen has cockroaches, the light is insufficient in the kitchen, dining room and family room areas. The pool is very old and dirty, we had to call the company the first day and ask them to send someone to clean it, they sent us someone very quickly but we could only use it from the third day. I do not recommend anyone to rent this property.

This house needs some work/maintence.... Like the counter in the pool area and some cracks along the pool. The front area of the house needs freshing up ! One of us did some needed "gardening"inside the screen. (Got it to look much better) 2 Lights on the "pier/mooring needs repair. (we tryed to set in new bulbs).
We think there is no big issues to take care of , more cosmetic. We would absolutely come back.

This home has a great floorplan and a great view. The home needs some TLC, but it worked perfectly for us. It's large enough that you can have separate spaces, if necessary. The space has two living areas, but both areas' furniture is in serious need of replacement. While we were there, the owner replaced the pull-out couch, which was nice. However, the matching loveseat needs to be replaced and the wicker furniture in the other living room HAS TO GO. The positives of this house outweigh the minor negatives, though. The house's location on the channel gives you a view all the way out to Sanctuary Sound and the dock is nice. Working with Marco Island Vacation Properties was an absolute joy. The office staff (mother and daughter) was so nice, and Andrew took care of any issues we had. The rental company is a family owned and operated business and it was evident in every interaction we had. I would highly recommend working with Marco Island Vacation Properties

From Thanksgiving through Christmas, the stay was a great way to end the year with family and friends! Access to some of the world's best boating and fishing! You can get to many of the best bars and restaurants by water! And nothing compares to a Marco sunset! Fantastic place and excellent management services!

Had to wait almost 2 hours to check in, cleaning staff was still in house. Over all the house needs a lot of work. The couches in the living room and family are on useable. Couldn't use the sofa bed. Stove top had broke burner and exhaust didn't work. Ice dispenser on refrigerator didn't work. Pool area needs maintenance. Nice location, but the house really needs a little TLC.

It was amazing everything really clean we had the best days.

We absolutely loved our stay. The house is beautiful, clean, and had everything it said it would. View is beautiful. We had the bonus of seeing dolphins and a manatee in the canal from the patio.

This is the second time we stayed in this house and it works very well for our family of six. Lots of space, nice pool, love the direct access to Big Marco River. Beds are comfortable, like the extra half bath with that many people.

Upon our arrival of this home we thought the home was lovely just like the pictures showed and then we were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful views out the back overlooking the bay. Unfortunately the pool heater had been set by the previous renter to over 100 degrees and the pool maintenance man had to highly treat because it was green and growing algae. Our family didn't enjoy this pool during the day at all but a couple nights we floated in the biggest hot tub ever!
A few electrical issued like no lights on in the back for safety going down from the back pool door to the dock, and the snook light was a regular light bulb. we had no lights at night on the dock for the first three nights, we rented this house so we could fish and swim day and night. This trip was planned for three months, we were very disappointed but MIVP did send people to do repairs, then on another day we came home around 4pm and someone had taken our trash to the street (trash is not to be put out until 6 or 7 the night before per the contract) and someone had been inside our house. We felt very unsafe. When we called again to MIVP Andrew said he didn't know who would have done that. Then after further investigating there was definitely people in the house while we were gone because drawers were opened in our daughters room and lights left on, sliding doors left unlocked in the master bedroom and the front living room and window treatments missing in the living room next to the kitchen, plus there was paint chips all over the floor and debris from work being done just left all over the tile floor and carpet in the rooms. This home was left open for anyone to break in. We told this to Andrew and he said the homeowner had given the keys to a blind company to let themselves in and that the homeowner didn't realize the home was being rented out that week. She said she was sorry. We had 5 repairs guys come during our 6 day stay!

We love this home. It has everything you need to enjoy a Florida vacation. Beautiful water views big dock to fish from and tie a boat up. Nice pool and the home is big enough to have space to yourself if needed.

IT WAS A LOVELY HOME WITH A NICE VIEW OF THE MARCO RIVER AND MANGROVE ISLANDS . THE HOME IS ROOMY AS IS THE PATIO LANAI AREA .WE WOULD STAY THERE , AGAIN . BIGGER BETTER TV's WOULD BE NICE BUT OTHER THAN THAT AND SOME MINIMAL INTERNET ISSUES WITH COMCAST IT WAS A LOVELY HOME IN A CONVENIENT LOCATION .

We've visited the Island many times over the last 15 years with this being the longest stay. We enjoyed the visit so much this year, that we plan to stay even longer in 2017!
This house was fully stocked with every need including extra sets of sheets for all beds, many towels, full supply of cleaning products and garbage bags, large capacity washer and dryer, excellent water heater, gas grill and much more. We are hoping to see updated televisions; furnace, AC and bathroom fan cleaning; repairs or replacement of lanai furniture. Minor issues we had were addressed promptly by contacting our agent, Andrew.

Overall a good experience. I think it is time to upgrade somethings in the house ie TV's. N. Barfield is a busy street traffic sound and volume affected sleep.

429 N. Barfield was wonderful. The house was very clean and stocked well. The home itself was cozy and we felt at home. The view poolside was so pretty. The house is located close to the Jolly Bridge which makes it easy to get on and off the island. I would definitely recommend this property. This is our second time renting homes through Andrew (the property manager) and he is so easy to work with and has always been accommodating.

This property was not on the beach, but that proved to be nice since we simply biked there as we desired. The pool was perfect, beds slept well, and the house was clean when we arrived.

Our compliments to the owners of this property. It's obvious that they have taken great care to continually update and maintain this slightly older property. Newer appliances, fixtures, floors, paint, beds, and much much more were evidence of their love for this place. We loved it as well. The outdoor pool/lanai area was wonderful in the morning for outdoor breakfasts and newspaper time and playing cards in the evening. The canal location was great for relaxing and a bit of fishing. Rented or owned, there will be a boat docked there next time we visit. The place had everything a family could possibly need. Our only problem was the condition when we arrived. Without going into great detail, it was not clean when we arrived. The kind of "not clean" that you might expect if any Florida house had sat vacant for some time. To the defense of the management company, we did make reservations spur of the moment, less than a week before arriving. To the great credit of the management company, they had a cleaning crew there within 15 minutes of our notifying them upon arrival on a Sunday. So after the initial two hour glitch...we had a wonderful week in a wonderful place. We're already talking about next year.
