A rocky start...but a great vacation on beautiful Marco Island!

Upon arrival, we noticed a very active hornets nest on the front light and called the company about it. They said they would send someone by to take a look. After a great dinner at Quinn's on the Beach, we went back to put our young daughters to bed. My husband put in a load of wash in the garage. Around 9:30pm, I opened the garage door and stepped in water. The washer's output hose was not connected and the tub drained all over the garage floor! My husband reconnected the hose and then we squeegeed the floor. We put the clothes in the dryer and after 1 hour, they still weren't dry- the dryer was heating up, but the clothes were still wet. We determined there must be a lint clog somewhere. As it was getting late, I decided to use the clothes rack provided and lay out the wet clothes and called the company. It was after hours, so left a voicemail regarding the issues. The next morning was Easter Sunday and around 8:30am 2 men arrived at the property to assess the W/D and hornets nest. The water from the washer also ran into the house and water was found in one of the bedroom closets. Later that day, the workers came back to put a dryer inside the closet. The next day, they sent someone to get on top of the roof, a large clog of lint from the output pipe of the dryer was found. The hornets nest was still abuzz all week, not sure if anyone sprayed or sealed that up. I would have thought the W/D would have been inspected prior to renting it and it was a headache for us, however, overall, the house was plenty spacious for our family of 4, kitchen was stocked, tons of bath and beach towels, large lanai. It seemed like it hadn't been lived-in. Along with the W/D issues, the trash can lid was broken, and the blender leaked. For the money we spent, I assumed there wouldn't be any issues. We spent most of our time at the beach- the house came with chairs, an umbrella, small cooler and beach cart. We were smart to bring our own beach toys. The location is safe & convenient.

I had a perfect experience at 978 Spruce. The spacious house is well decorated and has plenty of natural light. It's a short walk to the beach and popular restaurants/shopping, and the provided bikes are a nice perk as well. Would recommend this listing to others.

This house offered us all we needed for a nice vacation. It was freshly refurbished so everything was clean and in good shape. It was also well stocked so all we needed to buy was our food and some toilet paper.
We especially loved the availability of the three bikes (wish there had been four of them!), the convenient location for riding or walking to the beach. Thanks also for the beach chairs etc.
The only little downside were the fixed window shades. But as we did not expect too many cloudy days we never bothered calling the office and ask for their removal.

This house was adorable. Beautifully decorated and close to the beach. The house was clean and spacious for our family of four. We loved it and would recommend to anyone looking for a great getaway!!
