1260 Skylark Avenue

Nice home in a beautiful location. Home was close to everything needed on the island. We didn’t need any assistance from the host. Everything went well, it is a very busy island with many people and traffic. We went to shell in the 10,000 islands and it was fantastic, we will definitely be back !

We had a great time, especially with The heated pool in the backyard. But this is a no frills kind of stay, many things are dated and older, we knew this going in and had a great time.

The property was clean and well equipped! The weather could not have been better! The rental agency was responsive to an issue we had with the television! We love Marco Island!

This was our first visit to Marco Island. 1260 Skylark Avenue was easy to find and the neighborhood was very nice with many friendly people. The house location was good with many amenities within a 1.0 mile walking distance (Publix, Bars, Restaurants, Shopping). The house was nice but needed a good cleaning upon our arrival. Spider webs in corners, dirty dishes in the cupboards and counter tops were not wiped clean from the previous renter. The door wall to the pool was broken and they provided a wood stick to remedy the problem. There was a hole drilled just below the shower fixture ... not sure why but it didn't present well (and I'm assuming water was getting back there when showers were taken). The pool was clean but the water jets were broken so there was not great water circulation. We called the rental agency and they sent the pool company to fix the problem. Overall, none of the above affected our stay too much but between the house owner and rental company, some improvements should be made. Other suggested upgrades: De-clutter the pots and pans, upgrade the beds and linens, upgrade the towels and maybe add a little organization in the closet. With some small improvements, this house could be a real winner.

If you like a old, dirty, ran down, unkept house then this is the place for you. We have been renting on Marco for over 25 years and this is the worst house we have ever rented. Upon arrival, we had to contact the rental agency because the house had bugs, had not been cleaned and the pool was dirty and not running. There are many other issues with the house but too many to list here. Yes after we called the office, cleaners and pool company came the next day and exterminator a few days later. However, it should have been done BEFORE we arrived. It would have been nice to get a call regarding all of the issues but instead received a "we are so sorry for the inconvenience" email. Marco is great but I would not recommend this house for anyone.

Marco Island is truly a wonderful vacation destination. Marco Island is an easy island to get around on with so much to see and do.
We overall had and ok stay at the rental house, but did have things that needed to be improved upon. First, it was very apparent the floors had not been cleaned. There were dust bunnies everywhere, even my young children commented on them. Under the beds looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a long, long time. Also, none of us would walk around in the home barefoot since the floors inside the home would turn the bottom of your feet very dirty/black.
We found an ironing board towards the end of our stay in one of the guest bedrooms, but never found an iron.
Bed sheets had been left in the dryer when we first arrived to the home and cleaning supplies had been left inside the shower.
The pool was advertised as heated but is never got to be a comfortable temperature-it was always very cold.
I would definitely book with Marco Island Vacation Properties again, but would choose a different property,

The house had most everything we needed. We were happy that we could bring our well behaved dogs. The house was clean and well equipped. The back yard could use some TLC, but overall we have no complaints.

We had a great time at this rental we loved the pool. And if we had a problem they responded very quickly and were very nice people. We would rent from this company again in the future.very nice area it was very quiet. There was enough space for all the people that came with us.

We really enjoyed our stay at 1260 Skylark. The house has 4 bikes so we could get around to many places on the island without needing a car. Definitely the right size that we needed and having a pool was awesome too.

We spent two weeks in January at Skylark Avenue.
The house is a little bit older, probably built in the seventies. For us this was absolutely no disadvantage.
The property was in a very good condition and spotless clean. The open plan kitchen/living area was very comfortable, the kitchen providing everything that's necessary. Two of the three bedrooms were quite small and there is only one bathroom, which is tiny. Though we were only two people that was also no problem.
The heated pool was amazing, the deck furniture pretty new and comfortable and the garden is on all sides almost grown in which gives you very much privacy.
The neighborhood is a very quiet residential street.
We had a very good time at Skylark Avenue and would definitely return when visiting Marco Island again.

Overall decent place to stay. Nothing fancy. Very basic. Pool does not have a Lani thus bugs .... mulch around the pool blows onto pool deck and gets tracked into house. One small bathroom is difficult for a 3 bedroom house. Need new mattress in queen size room.

Property was perfect for what I needed. The back slider did not lock which was a bit concerning, and there was also no soap or shampoo for the shower. I guess I didn't read the details, but expected that to be there.
